when we were young,
a child, crying and sulking
so impatient, always barking!?
just can’t wait to grow, ’tis so not cool!
wondering why is the world so cruel,
then came the teenage years, yes we grew!
where everything is so new,
and experiencing feelings overflow,
those tantrums we all love to throw,
then there’s early adolescence, real beauty!
where we gain a glimpse of maturity,
and thought it was foresight,
but in reality,
we were blinded, ~yeah right!
enter adulthood, oh bother!
where you sometimes wonder…
